Looking for a family bunkhouse travel trailer for sale in Mesa, AZ that packs sleeping space, storage, an outdoor kitchen, and premium features into a manageable size? Check out the new 2027 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2509S at Bobby Combs RV Center in Mesa, Arizona. Forest River designed the 2509S specifically as a family-friendly travel trailer that measures under 26 feet while providing an impressive amount of sleeping and living space.
One of the biggest selling points of the 2027 Rockwood Mini Lite 2509S is the large double 48" x 72" bunk beds. They're spacious enough for kids and can even accommodate adults when needed.
The bottom bunk folds up, creating additional storage space for larger camping gear, toys, coolers, and other equipment while you're traveling.
This smart bunkhouse design makes the 2509S an excellent choice for families with kids, grandparents traveling with grandchildren, or RVers who regularly bring guests along.
At the front of the trailer, Forest River uses a versatile 60" x 74" Murphy bed that converts into a comfortable sofa during the day.
Instead of dedicating valuable floor space exclusively to a bed, you can enjoy additional seating while everyone is awake and quickly convert the space into your sleeping area at night.
Combined with the bunks and dinette, this gives the Rockwood 2509S impressive sleeping flexibility without requiring a much longer travel trailer.
A large U-shaped dinette located in the slide-out expands the main living area and provides plenty of room for family meals, games, relaxing, or planning your next adventure.
The open floorplan gives everyone room to spread out while keeping the overall trailer at a manageable 25'10" in length.
Inside, the Rockwood Mini Lite provides a well-equipped kitchen featuring solid-surface countertops, undermount kitchen sink with high-rise faucet, 12V refrigerator, microwave, gas oven with glass cover, soft-close roller-bearing drawers, and hidden-hinge cabinetry.
But one of the best family-camping features is outside.
The outside kitchen lets you prepare meals while enjoying the campground instead of spending the entire day cooking inside your RV.
Even better, the massive 18-foot power awning with LED lighting extends over the outdoor kitchen and creates a large shaded campsite living area.
The 2027 Rockwood Mini Lite comes equipped with a 200-watt solar panel, 1,800-watt inverter, and additional solar side port, providing more flexibility when camping away from traditional hookups.
Technology features include a 12V Smart Entertainment TV with stereo, outside speakers, AIR 360+ omnidirectional antenna with Wi-Fi prep, Starlink prep, and the Power Pro App monitor panel.
The powerful 18,000 BTU ChillCube air conditioner is an especially valuable feature when camping throughout Arizona and the Southwest.
For adventures into cooler climates, the 2509S also features a 35,000 BTU furnace, enclosed underbelly, 12V thermostat-controlled heated holding tanks, and radiant foil insulation in the front cap, underbelly, and slide.
Forest River builds the 2027 Rockwood Mini Lite with premium construction features including complete composite wall construction, a fully laminated walkable roof, six-sided full-aluminum frame, aluminum floor joists, 5/8" tongue-and-groove plywood flooring, and a fiberglass front cap with automotive-style windshield.
For towing and campsite convenience, the Rockwood Mini Lite also features Dexter Torflex axles, Goodyear Endurance tires with tire-pressure monitoring, MORryde Strut Assist entry steps, power tongue jack, power stabilizers, backup camera prep, and a 2" accessory hitch.
At approximately 25'10" long with a manufacturer-listed 5,563-lb. unloaded vehicle weight and 2,137 pounds of cargo carrying capacity, the 2509S delivers serious family functionality without stepping into an oversized travel trailer.
